The Persistence of Daffodils

Let us persist like daffodils
Relentless every spring
Waiting out the dark and cold
To resurrect from where we are buried
To mirror the sun
And kiss the wind.
Again.
And again.
And again, infinitely again.
Years after we have been planted
Still to awaken
and say:
Amen.
Amen.
